For the last month there has been rising tension from new direction while Iran has launched multiple naval and air force exercises at southern coast of the country. Iran has made political and diplomatic provocations against other Gulf States, mostly United Arab Emirates, accusing them about production of nuclear and chemical weapons and repeated attacks against Iran commercial shipping. Maybe most worrying was statement of Iran defense minister speaking in Iran television last week telling United Arab Emirates being governed by national socialist leaders threatening security of Iran citizens living in Emirates.
USS Theodore Roosevelt Carrier Strike Group has moved from western Persian Gulf closer to Emirates waters. Within limitations of Air Tasking Order, you as an Executive Officer of VF-192 Golden Dragons are responsible of planning of training, patrol and if necessary, combat operations of the squadron.
Flaming Sunrise is a story-driven semi-dynamic single-player campaign inspired by great Operation Pontus Campaign. You are set in place of squadron XO. You will plan and lead some of combat sorties of your squadron giving your best to create circumstances for coalition forces to win the war.

Some of the first American airmen to join the air war over Europe were the volunteers of the RAF’s Eagle Squadrons. In 1942 they were transferred to the Mighty Eighth Air Force under the 4th Fighter Group, based in Debden, Essex. The 4th was the first fighter group to penetrate German airspace, the first to escort bombers over Berlin, and led the first shuttle mission from England to Russia. Under the indomitable leadership of Colonel Don Blakeslee, they became the highest scoring unit of the USAAF, destroying 1,016 enemy aircraft in the air and on the ground.

The P-51D Mustang is not only one of the most iconic aircraft ever built, it is also arguably the most effective all-round fighter-bomber of WW2. Armed with six .50 caliber Browning machine guns, the Mustang was also able to carry either two bombs or up to ten unguided rockets.
The Mustang began combat operations with the RAF in April 1942, immediately proving its effectiveness both as a fighter and in ‘Rhubarb’ low-level fighter-bomber attacks against enemy airfields, supply trains and in the close air support role. It was especially dominant in dogfights above 20,000. With its graceful lines, distinctive bubble canopy and clipped wings, the ‘D’ variant rapidly became the mainstay of the United States 8th Air Force in Europe.
The DCS: World War II Assets Pack provides numerous World War II air, land and sea assets to populate the Normandy and other DCS World maps with. Eagle Dynamics has spent several years creating an entirely new set of combat vehicles to support DCS: World War II, and each unit is created with an exceptional level of detail and accuracy.
These objects are needed to play some missions and campaigns, and can also be used to create your missions through the editor built into DCS World.

In addition to populating World War II era maps, this asset pack can be used with all other DCS World map modules.
DCS: Normandy 2.0 includes large parts of the territory of France and Great Britain, including the capitals of these countries - Paris and London. The map also reproduces in detail the largest cities in this region - English Eastbourne, Brighton, Worthing, Portsmouth and French Caen, Le Havre, Rouen, Amiens and Calais. The coast on both sides of the English Channel, including sea and river ports, has been recreated in detail. The size of the map is 400/600 kilometers.
On the map Normandy 2.0, the user can see a huge number of historically authentic locations in southern England, northern and central France. Among them, the most interesting are the famous Paris Eiffel Tower, the Palace of Versailles, the Cathedral of Notre Dame de Paris, the Louvre Museum, as well as London's Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace, Westminster Palace and Tower Bridge. In total, more than 130 original buildings and structures are presented on the map.
